Juneathon day 3: evening run in Chalfont St Peter

I look forward to Monday evenings. The two older kids have piano lessons; dropping them off gives me an hour that can't realistically be used for anything useful but ... running. Ok, I could perhaps bring a bike, but even the pool round the corner is shut, so a jaunt round Chalfont St Peter, in a way that is entirely family-friendly, has a lot to recommend it!
It was a lovely evening; the sun was out, it was pretty warm and all looking good for a run. My calf still playing up, I thought I'd take it pretty gentle, with a generous walking warm-up too. In the event I had to stop a bit sooner than I wanted because the calf started to hurt, but I still managed 3.83 miles in 41:00. Again, I was using Barefoot Audio's Apollo series (part 2) to keep me going on this run. Worked up quite an appetite too, so enjoyed a nice bit of hake when I got home...
I can see that Juneathon is going to have to feature quite a lot of variety beyond running, if this calf is going to sort itself out. Swim and bike, here we come!
Oh yes, I did also manage a little walk at lunchtime: 1.71 miles in 39 minutes (which probably included some time in Waitrose, as I forgot to press "stop" when buying lunch!)
Total time spent on Juneathon today: 1h20m, covering 5.54 miles walking/running.
