What a lovely, warm evening for a gentle run from the cricket pitch near Old Amersham through to Little Missenden. Some kind of children's cricket activity was going on as we left, with plenty of players and parents in attendance. Further on, it was the ducks and geese who were having a field day on the lake, but otherwise it was a pretty quiet run with only a few dog walkers to be seen. Here's a photo of me and Ellie after the run, looking out across the other bit of pitch that wasn't in use. We went about 2.6 miles in the end, and my FitBit reckons I managed a bit past 14,000 steps.

Unexpected news of the day goes to the fantastic announcement that Dr Tim Noakes has been fully cleared, again, of the charges made against him by the nutritional establishment. They were trying to silence him from speaking out in support of low-carb diets to help reverse type 2 diabetes, but instead will find out the full meaning of the Streisand Effect. There's some more information on his website, and some really practical advice on making changes on the Diet Doctor site too.

And with that - night all!
