Juneathon day 12: attacking the hill fort

Danesfield House, local spa venue as featured in a recent Amazon Local voucher! The site itself apparently was an old hill fort. These days it is rather more civilised, though.

Ellie and I had an extremely lovely time there, enjoying plenty of coffee and food and chilling generally. Actually, chilling isn't the right word: most of the time, we were scorching ourselves in saunas and steam rooms...

The pool had, extremely unusually, broken down in some way so we weren't able to try it out. I think the voucher for another trip there pretty well deals with that little issue, though!

So, as you can tell, it's been a pretty arduous day in the Juneathon calendar. I'm actually thinking of it more as a day of rest and recuperation in advance of Sunday's Windsor Triathlon...
