Wild Training in the snow

Today's activities have involved having the most fun I've had in a long time! Yes, there was circuits in the snow - which was brilliant, with the hardcore enthusiasts making it through the bad conditions to be rewarded by an hour of cold pain! And yes, the run there and back was also entertaining, not least trying to maintain a phone call on the way there with rather disapproving parents!

It was the afternoon that was particularly brilliant, though. We took the kids over to our friends' equestrian centre near Great Missenden, and had the enormous pleasure of charging up and down their enormous hills for a few hours with a wonderfully warm group of people, all of whom I hold in very high regard. We loved it, the kids loved it; what's not to like..?! Steaming mugs of hot chocolate all round afterwards was just the icing on the cake. A great day.

Oh yes - and I've just noticed I have broken through the 40 mile barrier for running so far this month, a new personal record!

Circuits: 1 hour

Running: 1.27mi in 12:04

Sledging: about 2.5 hours

Fun: oh yes, plenty
