Juneathon day 8: night outing

That was much more fun! Mrs H is now back, sighs of relief all round and Juneathon activities can resume. We had a pretty active day even before she returned, though, what with straightening out the house, doing some shopping etc.

Post reunion, once we were all home and the kids were dispatched to bed (and next week's online shopping tied up - a mini-marathon on its own), I set off for a rather late run round Amersham. It was a warm, clear evening, and I managed to clock up an enjoyable 4.5 miles in 48 minutes odd. It was getting dark as I ran, and as it turned out, a few miles of the run were down either unlit path-less roads or footpaths overrun with nettles. At least I wasn't in shorts this time, though, so avoided getting stung! There were some good views as I ran, across the hills nearby, and I was kept from getting lonely by the large numbers of animals on my route - mainly rabbits, enjoying the peace and quiet.

As it turned out, my FitBit stats today were also pretty strong, combining a generally active day with the run. Double win!
