Juneathon day 3: when opportunity knocks

(Edit: argh! It was just pointed out that I had called this post a Janathon one! Fixed...)

And so it was that Mrs H relocated for a few days into the wilds of North Wales, staying at an ashram as part of her yoga teacher training. I'm holding the fort back home while she's away, keeping the kids happy - a relative term, I am learning!

While the children are at home (ie not at school), there just isn't the opportunity to get out and run, so I have to grab chances with both hands when they arise. Early this afternoon, I realised that there was just such a chance to pop out, for a quick run round Amersham, so I took it.

The sun shone! It was warm! These are things we should celebrate. I managed to run 3.8 miles round town (or probably a bit more if you include the walk home after), then wolf down some soup before heading out to pick up the girls. With the usual post-school activities, I never did make it out of my running gear, so belated apologies to anyone I have been standing near!

Tomorrow, I'm going to fit in another daytime run if opportunity knocks.
